It is meant as homage to Abbas Kiarostami,
imitating his “Five-Dedicated to Ozu”, with a special admiration for Amir
Naderi’s “Water,
wind, dust”. Considering dust as a metonymy of earth, one easily recognizes
in the title the three of the four Empedoclean elements: Earth, wind, water,
though the fourth, fire, is also present. The first four shots were recorded in
the garden of my native home in Cato Horio, Ierapetra, Crete, Greece, and the
fifth at the Trinity church of my village, in Easter’s eave mass (11-4-2015).
The fire is called “founara”, and with it a Judas’ effigy is burnt.
